50 Years loyal and committed
On December 1, 2023, we celebrated a very special occasion at SPIT : Benny Wezenberg's 50th anniversary of service. This festive event was attended by Benny, his wife Monique, daughter Kimberly and her boyfriend, along with many colleagues who have come to know and appreciate Benny over the years.
Always in balance
The party began with a speech looking back on Benny's remarkable career since he joined SPIT in 1973. It was a time when the luxury of a car was not a given, and Benny started out as an accomplished auto mechanic. His career at SPIT was characterized by his natural balance, technical skills and deep commitment to his work and colleagues.
During the event, many fond memories were made, stories shared about Benny's influence and the indelible mark he left on the company. Benny's role at SPIT went beyond his technical skills; he was a mentor, a friend, and a part of our SPIT family.
As a token of our appreciation and to honor Benny's legacy, we have renamed our entire courtyard the Benny Wezenberg Square. This designation symbolizes how his name and spirit will forever remain connected to SPIT.
The afternoon was filled with fellowship, snacks and drinks, with colleagues coming together to celebrate this milestone. It was a fitting tribute to a man whose dedication, loyalty and friendship are an inspiration to us all.
Benny, on behalf of everyone at SPIT, we want to thank you very much for your years of dedication, your inexhaustible enthusiasm and your unconditional support. You are not only a valued member of our team, but also a part of our history and our future.
