Balancing

Unbalance of a machine part is undesirable. After all, you want to prevent safety risks, wear, production loss and quality problems. SPIT brings balance!

Industrial balancing

Nearly 90 years of experience

At SPIT , we offer a range of services including dynamic and static industrial balancing, vibration analysis and fault finding. We balance according to ISO 21940 series standards as standard, with the required quality class (G1, G2.5, G6.3 etc.).

We use a wide variety of specialized equipment, including a range of Schenck and Hoffmann hard bearing balancing machines. We use digital technology and provide detailed reports for each project. We store these reports in our digital system. We provide you with the complete report, including initial values and remaining unbalance.

Balancing on site

Field balancing is performed at your location. These include power plants, water and gas utilities, manufacturing facilities, pulp and paper mills, steel mills and other commercial and industrial applications.

We balance all types of rotating machinery, including fans, blowers, motor rotors, dry cylinders, pump impellers, steam and gas turbines, rollers, etc.

SPIT uses the latest advanced portable instruments from Pruftechnik and SPM for balancing in two planes.

Balancing Solutions

The periodic maintenance and calibration of our balancing machines is of great importance so that we can continue to ensure optimum productivity, accuracy and reliability. Our supplier regularly calibrates all of our SPIT machines to the national standard to ensure that all mechanical and electrical components are operating and functioning at their optimum levels.

Our workshop consists of three balancing machines, namely an R33, HL20.1 and H6BU. In addition, we have several portable instruments for balancing at your location.

The R33 Schenck

The smallest machine, the R33, has the ability to dynamically balance components from a weight of only 300 grams and up to 100 kilograms in both direct drive and belt drive.

The HL20.1 Hoffman

The HL20.1 machine has a capacity of 15 kg to 1,000 kg and can be set up as a belt drive to take a workpiece up to 6,000 mm long between bearings with a maximum diameter of 3,900 mm.

The H6BU Schenck

With a capacity of 12,000 kg, the H6BU can accept rotors with a maximum diameter of 4,800 mm and a total length of 8,000 mm between bearings.

The 20-ton overhead crane placed above the machines ensures that the workpiece is safely placed on the machine.

Purposely designed for this scale of work, this machine still has a sensitivity to achieve a balancing quality of G0.4 according to the ISO standard.

All our machines are controlled by the latest belance computers and are linked to our digital platform.
