Power transmission mechanic (Vierpolders)

25-10-2023 | Vacancies

Location: Almelo & Vierpolders (Europoort)

As a Drive Technology Mechanic at SPIT , you are part of a surprisingly dynamic world. For there is a rich world hidden behind the maintenance and overhaul work you perform on drives. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that container cranes keep running, that industry can continue to produce and that the water boards can ensure that we keep our feet dry in the Netherlands.

Every drive has a unique story. You have all the knowledge and expertise to keep our customers' process running. Continuously you work on this with a team. You have a state-of-the-art workplace and good tools. You really make a difference and what you do matters.

Of course, it is nice if you have similar experience. But other technicians working in defense, shipping, automotive engineering and technical services also fit this profile well.

Working at Spit

We give you all the

space

When you join us, we want you to feel at home as quickly as possible. We want you to enjoy it so much that you want to stay for a long time.

We invest in you. And listen carefully to what you want and to your ideas to continue to develop. It goes without saying that we have an eye for your health and safety.

What will you do?

Together with your colleagues, you start the day with a short consultation in which the work is distributed. If it is a large project you will be working on, you will do this together with a colleague. On smaller projects you work independently. As a Power Transmission Mechanic you are responsible for maintenance, (dis)assembly, installation and conversion of the rotating machines in our workshop. You can think of electric motors such as AC/DC motors, drum motors and vibrators, but also gearboxes, pumps and fans.

One day you are disassembling an electric motor and the next day you are reassembling a fan or pump. When you are finished with your project, you make a report, supported by photos, showing what you have done and what you have encountered. The customer can view this report digitally, so they know what was done to their product.

What we offer you

True green ambition, SPIT wants to contribute to a better world by doing business smarter, more economically and responsibly. SPIT also has an active stance on equality and inclusiveness.

An open, "no nonsense," and respectful work environment. We are a team and no one is more important than the team. We consider cooperation an important condition for job satisfaction.
Fresh fruit every day, an active staff association, colleagues with passion for their profession, an extensive induction program and all kinds of development opportunities.
