As a Service Engineer Electrical Drives & Controls at SPIT you will have a broad and challenging range of tasks. You are responsible for repair, service, preventive maintenance and commissioning of highly varied applications of modern electrical drive and control technology and analyzing and solving malfunctions of machines. From a compressor of several MegaWatts to servo control of a welding robot; you will see us everywhere.
We are looking for someone with experience or a well-educated talented starter. Most importantly, you have an interest in power transmission technology.Â

What will you do?
Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for a variety of jobs and projects. Often on location. You will occasionally stay in a hotel at home and abroad. You will lend a helping hand with periodic maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs and perform work for a variety of industries. From power plants to food manufacturers, from water boards to wind farms and hospitals. Every day is different, and you often work as part of a team.
You are the ambassador of our company. Flexibility and service orientation are of great importance. In these modern times, our mechanics work completely digitally using their mobile devices.
Of course it is nice if you have some similar experience. But also starters or other technicians, working in defense, shipping, automotive engineering and technical services, fit well into this profile.

Who are you?
- You are eager to continue learning and developing yourself.
- You are energetic, self-starting and don't get off track easily, you know how to ask questions in time.
- You have the courage and ability to take responsibility for a client's problem. That means you are good at organizing, listening, filtering, prioritizing. You have empathy, can reconcile different interests and communicate clearly about what exactly needs to be done and when. Keeping the corresponding technical database in order is a matter of course for you....
- You are preferably available full-time. Working hours are negotiable.
- Broad knowledge and interest in power engineering and mechanics.
- You have an affinity for large (industrial) clients.
- MBO Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- You are in possession of driver's license B as a minimum.
- You have VCA-VOL certification or are willing to obtain it.
- You have more than adequate ICT skills.
